Mack Dawg's been at it for 20 years and it's time to celebrate. By the looks of the preview, the anniversary film is no less than a genuine Mack Dawg Production. Simply put, it's sick...
20 years. 25 films. 5 continents. Hundreds of Riders. Now in 2008, MDP take it to the next level...
As everyone knows, your 20th anniversary is a big one. To celebrate their 20th year making some of the sickest shred flicks on the planet, Mack Dawg and your friends at VAS have arranged exclusive online sneak peak of their newest monster, "Double Decade." And once again, they've pulled out the stops to create a film that lives up to the MDP legacy.
With an all-star crew including Aaron Biittner, Andreas Wiig, Darrell Mathes, DCP, Devun Walsh, Eero Ettala, Eero Niemala, Heikki Sorsa, Iikka Backstrom, Jeremy Jones, Jussi Oksanen, JP Walker, Lauri Heiskari, Seth Huot and Wille Yli-Luoma, they traversed the globe in search of the best snowboarding on the planet.
Filmed on location in Finland, Norway, Austria, Whistler, Alaska, Tahoe, Montana, Utah, Minnesota and lots of other cold and snow covered spots. Double Decade is destined to be one of the greatest snowboard films ever produced.

Powder In May?
by: Alex | Friday, May 23, 2008
32's Brian Cook just got back with another Resort Update! Looks like April showers bring May powder.

Mammoth Mtn normally stays open until mid June or even July 4th. But not this year, earlier this week Mammoth Mtn set a closing day of May 26th, Memorial Day. They have a base of 2 to 5 feet but with soaring gas prices and the warm temps down south it's time to call it quits.
Knowing this was my last chance to go snowboarding before the summer heat drains the life out of me, I grabbed my snowboard, packed the car, grabbed some new boots to test out and headed out on the five hour drive from Orange County CA to Mammoth Mtn. The drive was super windy and I thought to my self this might have been a bad idea. But when I woke up this morning, Thursday, May 22nd with over 5 inches of snow on my car and the snow was still coming down. I kicked my gear on and headed out the door. Only in Mammoth do I get to ride powder in May.

Headed straight to the Unbound office, grabbed Chris Zajes and headed on the hill.
They have a spring pipe and four rails and boxes set up off of Face Lift (Chair
3) But what I didn't know was they still have Forest Trail open with two super fun jumps, and 4 more rails, bonks and boxes, which I thought the heat would have melted a long time ago... but I was wrong.

Also they had Stump Alley open with great coverage.

If you want to get some mid winter riding in, head up to Mammoth before Memorial Day!

JP's Scar Story
by: Alex | Friday, May 16, 2008
A friend of mine just got new boobies for Mother’s Day. Her new size Ds are pretty noticeable on her 5 ft nothin’ frame, so they’ve been a topic of conversation lately. It got me thinking about scarring and I’ve decided that the best scars are the ones with good stories. Hers really pales in comparison to JP Walker’s Scar Story… up now on Fuel.tv.

MFR on EXPN.com
by: Alex | Friday, May 16, 2008
MFR's latest feature on EXPN.com attempts to explain how she broke into the boys' club. My question is, who's even asking? You meet Marie-France Roy and see her in action, and that's all the explanation you'll need. For those of you who aren't so fortunate, read on...

Brighton Closing Day Footage
by: Alex | Wednesday, May 7, 2008
So Brighton closed for the summer... with a 10ft base! By Cali standards that's still plenty of good riding. I guess it's all relative. Here's a little video, courtesy of Snowboard Mag. Some fun park action on closing day with Zane Miller and friends rocking the ThrityTwo rails...
Mammoth WCI
by: Alex | Tuesday, May 6, 2008
Mammoth's West Coast Invitational went down last weekend with the Vans Fiesta de la Pipa and The Village Rail Jam drawing a big enough crowd to make you forget how much gas prices suck these days.
Despite the action on the snow, the place to be, by a few different accounts, was the etnies/ThirtyTwo party pad. The top floor condo served as the perfect venue for pro hos, friends, spectators and birthday boys—namely Joe Sexton and Tyler Flanagan—to all celebrate and rain beach balls on the unsuspecting crowd below. Our buddies and weekend flatmates at FSM documented the whole thing for all to see. Go ahead and have a look.
