The crowds descended on Londons Alexandra Palace this weekend for a snowsport extravaganza at this yearҒs Board X.

Thousands of people came through the doors to experience top snow, skate, BMX and breakdancing action at Europes biggest indoor snowboarding event. This year's event was bigger than ever, with the Big Air slope standing at twenty-four metres high (six metres higher than last year), making it the largest slope at any UK event. Other attractions included the midi-ramp, grind rail, street course and B-Boy arena.

The top UK and European riders battled it out on the Big Air and the Street course, with the winners displaying amazing talent. The Big Air was once again the main attraction, drawing huge crowds who watched some of the best names in the UK compete in the British Open on Friday, including Dom Harrington, James Carr and Chris Goulder. QuicksilverҒs Mathieu Crepel won the Mens final on Saturday and Sunday, with Scott McMorris and Markku Koski in close 2nd respectively. The Girls Big Air was shared by NikitaҒs Natasha Zurek and Zoe Gillings from Dragon, with Vicci Miller in 3rd and Laura Berry grabbing 4th. Rails were taken by Dan Wakeham.

The spectacular street BMX final was nabbed by Tobias Wicke, with Ben Hennon (etnies) and Ben Manuel in a joint 2nd. Danny Wainwright continued his great run by beating Micky Iglesias and Rodney Clarke (etnies) into 2nd and 3rd to claim the Street Skate final.

Dionne Delesalle
just joined forces with a new board company based out of Vancouver BC, Canada. Sapient Snowboards will be showing their new line at the SIA snow trade show in Las Vegas in late January. The team consists of three riders, Dionne Delesalle, Kurt Wastell and Chris Coulter. Dionne's plans for the winter will also include filming with the Wild Cats, among other videos such as The Skids and 411 snow. He'll be pretty busy handling business with all of his sponsors, as well as attending a handful of events through out the season. He and Kevin Sansalone will be heading to the interior BC to hit-up some spots while visiting some friends.

Markku Koski
recently returned from a two-and-half-week snowboarding trip in Europe. He did some riding in the Alps to warm-up his legs for the season. He also attended the Board-X event in London and placed 2nd. His plans for now are to hang-out at home for the week and then head back to Europe for a photo shoot in Saas Fe. Markku will continue to film with Standard Films, as well as compete in a handful of events world-wide.

Nicolas Droz
finalized his sponsor deal with Helly Hanson and will also dedicate his riding time this season with Absinth Films. He's been quite busy lately trying to handle all of his deals, along with his contest, the Winter Kick-Off, scheduled for December 14 - 17. TransWorld Snowboarding
magazine covered his contest last year in their latest issue (December). Nico will spend most of his time in Europe this year filming and attending a few contests world-wide.

Matt Hammer
has been on the hunt for a new board sponsor for the past couple of weeks. Supernatural decided it was time to pull the plug, so the team will be parting ways and finding new deals to work on. Matt recently filmed a short part with a TV network through Standard Films covering his Day in the Life. Standard Films will be editing the short thirty-minute segment and airing it sometime this winter. Matt still plans on filming with Standard, as well as entering the winter X Games, The Sessions at Vail, Colorado and Slopestyle in Japan.

John Jackson
will be busy this season, filming with Standard Films and competing in a handful of events throughout the globe. His first contest will be the Triple Crown in Breckenridge, Colorado in early December.

Tyler Lepore
recently flew out to Japan to take care of some business with his board sponsor. He'll be there for a week and then plans to head back to Whistler, where he'll get his season started by filming and shooting photos. Tyler plans to attend a handful of events this winter, as well as film with Kevin Sansalone and a few other film projects. Some of the contests he'll be participating in are Ripzone, Whistler, The Shakedown, Quebec and Slopestyle, Japan.

Joni Makinen
just got back from Europe, where he attended an on-snow demo in France and a photo shoot in Saas Fe. He's back in Finland right now getting ready to head back to Europe again. He'll be filming a part with Robot Food this year and traveling extensively throughout Europe and North America.

Janna Meyen
was last seen hanging-out at Side Effect board shop in Bend, Oregon, where they kicked-off the season with a big bang! Side Effect had another successful party to commence the snowboarding season last weekend. Janna was there to support her local board shop and hang with the kids. She has big plans for her snowboarding this season. She'll be competing at the winter X Games, The Sessions at Vail and filming for a couple of projects. She's been super positive and staying healthy all summer long so she'll be ready to kill it this winter.

Chad Otterstrom
has been back and forth from Europe to Japan and the States promoting the Video Gangs film. Chad will be focusing on filming with Mack Dawg this winter and competing in a few events.

Roberta Rodger
recently got back from a promo tour with her board sponsor. They visited a few shops on the East Coast of Canada. She said all of the kids were super-anxious to ride and super-stoked on ThirtyTwo. She'll be taking care of some work in Vancouver for the week and then heading to Salt Lake City, Utah to ride some powder. Roberta will be focused on a handful of events like The Sessions at Vail, The Ripzone and Shakedown in Quebec.

Kevin Sansalone
will be heading out to Banff with Dionne and a few friends to hit-up a few spots out there, as well as enter in a jib contest. He'll be concentrating on his film project this season along with a few contests like The Ripzone, The Shakedown and Slopestyle.

Wille Yli-Luoma
placed 4th at the indoor hip event in Stockholm, Sweden last weekend. He'll be heading to Saas Fe next week to start filming and shooting photos and then plans to head to Mammoth in late November. He'll also join in on the fun at Nicolas Droz's event the Winter Kick-Off in mid-December. Wille will concentrate on his filming and maximizing his exposure with photos this year.
